Obituary:
Laura M. Cozens, 93 of Colts Neck passed away at Brandywine Assisted Living on Wednesday October 27 with her family by her side. Laura was born in Pomunta, Italy and moved to Stirling, NJ when she was 12 years old. She lived in Stirling for 20 years before moving to Plainfield, NJ until 1993 then moved to the shore area. Laura was a floral designer who worked for various places and taught floral design for many years at Plainfield High School. She helped to develop the floral program for Shop-Rite. Laura also loved to collect antiques.

Laura was predeceased by her husband of 39 years Harry Cozens in 1985; her father Louis Chiappa, a brother Alfred Chiappa and a sister Louise Fenton. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Lori Cozens of Wall; a brother John Chiappa and his wife Anita of Sterling; four sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Chiappa of Easton, PA, Blanche Hoinowski of FL, Fern Archbold of Tequesta, FL and Louise Bittle and her husband Irving of CA. Laura is also survived by three grandchildren John, Jason and Kyle; several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Orender Family Home for Funeral, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Tuesday November 9 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Stirling, NJ. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ.
