Obituary: William E. Clinch, 88 of Brielle passed away Monday November 15 at Liberty Royal Rehabilitation Center, Tinton Falls with his wife by his side. William was born and raised in Lakewood and moved to Brielle 57 years ago. He was a graduate of Lakewood High School in 1940. William was a Seabee in the US Navy serving during WWII. William was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local 2250 for over 45 years. William was a charter member and organizer of the Brielle First Aid Squad, scout master of Troop 63, a member of the American Legion Post 432, Spring Lake. Bill was predeceased by his first wife of almost 30 years Bernice Clinch. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen Clinch of Brielle; two sons and a daughter-in-law William M. Clinch of Madawaska, ME and Raymond and Carol Clinch of Toms River, NJ. He is also survived by three grandchildren Melanie Clinch, Dr. Maureen Clinch-Lyons and Kevin Clinch and 4 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday November 17 from 5-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. A funeral service will be held at funeral home at 10 am Thursday, November 18. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle. In lieu flowers donations may be made to the family. Karen and family - we are very sad to learn of Bill's passing but recognize he is in a better place. These last few weeks were mighty difficult for everyone, especially Bill. Our prayers are with him and will remain so.
