Obituary:
Rosaleen Mary Derham, 76 of Wall passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer at Jersey Shore University Medical Center with her husband by her side. Rosaleen was born and raised in New York City. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from New Jersey City University and was a member of Kappa Delta Phi. Rosaleen was Assistant Public Relations Manager at McCall’s Magazine and also worked at Hearst Magazines. In later years, she was a consultant to Nabisco Foods and worked with Frank Hogan, playwright and author. For many years, she was a member of American Women in Radio and Television. Rosaleen was a strong advocate for the developmentally disabled. She loved museums, opera, poetry, bridge and golf. Family and friends will remember her gentle and generous heart, her love for life and her willingness to help others. She will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her and loved her.

Rosaleen was predeceased by her parents Anna and David Fay and a brother John David Fay. She is survived by her loving husband Matthew J. Derham of Wall; a sister Margaret Fay of Kearny, NJ; close cousins Patricia Wood, Susan Brown, Mary Fallon and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday January 22 from 1-4 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday January 23 at Church of St. Dominic, Brick, NJ. Interment will be private at Brig Gen William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hudson Milestone Kearny Group II, 47 Clinton Avenue Kearny, NJ 07032.
