Obituary:
Eugenie Agnes Aljian, 95, of Manasquan a survivor of the Armenian genocide, passed away on November 15, 2009 in Stuart, FL. Her husband, John Aljian, to whom she was a devoted wife, predeceased her in 1968. She is survived by her children, Robert Aljian and his wife Sonia, Fort Lee, NJ, Sally Berjian and her husband Richard Berjian D.O., Stuart, FL and Richard Aljian M.D. and his wife Trudy of Manasquan, NJ. She was the grandmother of nine and great grandmother of sixteen children.

Known by her friends and relatives as Ogen, she served as treasurer for 12 years at St. Vartananz Armenian Apostolic Church Women’s Guild in Fairview, NJ and later at St. Stepanos Church in Long Branch, NJ. She will be remembered as a kind, generous lady, and sorely missed by her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral mass to be held at St. Stepanos Church, 1184 Ocean Avenue Long Branch, NJ on November 21, 2009 at 10:30 am followed by a cemetery blessing. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Stepanos Church in her memory. Arrangements are under the direction of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. I am deeply saddened for the lose of aunt ogen. although i haven't seen her in a while she has been in my thoughts and prayers. it has always brought me warm feelings thinking of my aunt ogen and grandma vergin doing what they did together. i express my deep condolences for your great loss. may all our deceased relatives rest in peace. in a loving and strange way i am looking foward to seeing them again when it is my time.
