Obituary:
A Life Well Lived....
Nicholas C. Dispenziere, 67, of Jackson and formerly a resident of Wall for 37 years passed away at home on Sunday May 30 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He had great hope, never gave up and was always thankful for another day to be with his family. Nick was born in Newark, NJ to Nicholas and Carmella on February 1, 1943. He moved to Middletown, NJ in 1957.

After receiving a degree in chemistry from Monmouth College, he became a chemist for Exxon Research and Engineering Company for 36 years and was the recipient of numerous United States Patents, retiring in 2002. Nick was proud veteran of the United States Army Reserves and a communicant of St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake.

Nick loved to sing, hike the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire, play bridge, travel, play the horses, dine with friends, garden and he enjoyed a good debate. He treasured time spent with family, friends and his precious Adara Rose.

He was survived by his “best friend” and beloved wife of 42 years, Harriet (nee Haines) Dispenziere; a loving and devoted father of Nichoals John Dispenziere; dear father-in-law of Teresa Dispenziere and cherished “Pop Pop” of Adara Rose Dispenziere. He leaves behind many faithful and treasured friends, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Beatrice Haines, two nephews and two nieces. He is also survived by a daughter Michelle Sprengel and five grandchildren

Nick was someone we wish we had met when we were younger, but were fortunate enough to have met at all. We feel we have known him all of our lives and have developed a special bond that will last forever. And for that we are eternally grateful. With all of our love, Pat and Neil Rothman

My mom told me the news of Mr. Dispenziere's passing and I wanted to let the family know you are in my thoughts and prayers. With all things being considered in this difficult time, I hope that you guys are doing well. I have lots of good memories from too long ago, thanks in large part to him.
